Our trip to Berlin allowed us to site our synagogue on the grounds of the Jewish Museum and to place our flag next to the Heinrich Heine Monument near Humboldt University. Heine was in correspondence with Mordecai Noah about his Ararat plan and one cannot help but wonder if he would have actually immigrated to Ararat if Noah’s dream had been realized.
